For the rest of my time at UMHB, I am serving on staff at First Baptist Church of Belton, TX as the Senior Pastor’s Intern. This job involves a lot of sermon research, a good amount of creativity for sermon illustrations, a few meetings, some office work, and hospital visits scattered here and there.

I really do love this place. Sure, it has its blemishes, but what place doesn’t? I love it because it gives me a home with some men and women older than me who really care about how I’m doing. I love it because I have never seen a group of people who work harder on an everyday basis to meet the needs of the community around them. I love it because it is a place where God is honored and adored.
